Due to my work schedule I am no longer able to offer one to one tuition for new students. However, this page remains active in order to clarify lesson structure and terms and conditions for those students who already have packages arranged with me.
30 minute class, 10 USD. 60 minute class 20 USD
These classes will focus on the speaking and writing elements of the exam, however we can focus the time on whichever areas you would like more help with. During the trial lesson we will discuss your strengths and weaknesses and define a personalised plan together. I will advise on how to structure your study time outside of classes. For speaking we will practise role-plays to the timings involved in the real exam and I will help you with maximising your marks in both the linguistic and the communications criteria. For writing I will review your written sample letters with you during lesson time. This way I can explain any errors in full and you can ask questions. I am an official OET provisional provider; meaning I have taken a course from the OET and I understand the test format well.

These classes are for healthcare professionals who may need to work with English-speaking patients or those who are planning on working in an English-speaking country. During the trial lesson we will discuss your speciality and the scenarios you are likely to face in a real life environment. We will then make a personalised plan to help you improve in those specific areas. I will devise role-plays so you can practise as if speaking to a real patient/colleague. I will help with corrections, useful phrases you can use, and help with understanding of cultural differences. If your role involves writing I will set writing tasks that we can review together in subsequent classes.
If you pay for 9 lessons in advance (for any style/length of class) you will receive a 10th lesson completely free!
I have experience teaching many healthcare professionals, not only doctors and I am happy to help anyone! However, please bear in mind that I am mostly experienced in medicine and anaesthesia, so I may not be knowledgeable in all of the technical aspects of your profession. However, I can still help with speaking and writing practice, you just may have to explain certain procedures!
I am a busy healthcare professional, I can’t commit to the same time every week!I fully understand how hard it is to study and work at the same time, it can be very difficult to schedule classes! Lessons can be arranged around your schedule, and if something comes up they can be rescheduled up to 2 hours beforehand for no extra cost.
What hours do you teach?I currently have no set hours, and very limited availability. However, when I do have availability it is between 8am and 6pm Australian Eastern Time (GMT+10)
How can I pay for classes?I prefer payment via TransferWise * This is a convenient and affordable way to transfer money internationally. However if this is not suitable I can accept payment via PayPal or other means. If paying with PayPal I prefer to be paid in Australian Dollars (AUD) converted at the “google” exchange rate from the corresponding amount in USD.

Can you please send me materials for reading/writing/speaking/listening etc.?I really wish I had more materials especially for the OET! Unfortunately I only have access to the same free materials on the OET website as you. I am slowly writing my own materials but as soon as these are finished I will be putting them on this website for everyone to access for free. I am honestly not “hiding” any materials just for paying students! Check out my blog for articles and a practice OET writing test.
Terms and conditions
CANCELLATION. You can cancel any class 24 hours in advance by email. Any cancellation less than 24 hours before your scheduled class will be charged in full. However, you can re-schedule a class to a more convenient time up until 2 hours before the scheduled start time.
PAYMENT. With the exception of the free trial class, payment must be made in full before the lesson. If you need to cancel more than 24 hours in advance and do not wish to reschedule you will receive a full refund. (The refund will be the same dollar amount paid, this may result in a different amount of your home currency).
TARDY OR NO-SHOW POLICY. Lessons will begin and end at the scheduled time. If you are late this results in loss of lesson time. Any student more than 20 minutes late to a lesson will be deemed a “No-Show” and I will end the session. “No-Show” lessons cannot be rescheduled and are charged in full.
PACKAGE EXPIRATIONS. All packages expire 6 months after the purchase date
SKYPE. Skype is free and easy to use. Create an account/download the app if you do not already have one. You can use it from your computer, tablet, or smartphone. Make sure you enable the camera and microphone on whatever device you are using.
